The School is committed to innovation in teaching methods and to an exciting and wide-ranging series of degree courses. Our research excellence is similarly well established through external review. Research extends from investigations of the Earth’s interior, to Earth surface processes, the hydrosphere, the interface with the biosphere, and thence to the atmosphere and to other bodies in the Solar system. Fundamental studies at scales from the molecular to global are complemented by applications to the water, oil and gas, coal, minerals, and nuclear industries, and to the solution of a wide range of environmental problems. |
