European Facility For Airborne Research

ESSI (European Strategic Safety Initiative) is a partnership between EASA and industry with a 10 year commitment.
Until now, ESSI has two pillars:
- ECAST = European Commercial Aviation Safety Team
- EHEST = European Helicopter Safety Team

A new one has been just created :EGAST (European General Aviation Safety Team).
EGAST has to increase safety in General Aviation and will look after certification and operation, and finally could suggest new regulations at the European level.
