European Facility For Airborne Research Dec. 7, 2019, 17:45
SAFIRE is a common service of Meteo-France, CNRS/INSU and CNES.
It offers three instrumented aircraft covering the main needs in airborne research, from the very low troposphere to the low stratosphere.
The aircraft instrumentation covers a wide scientific field. The facility provides data processing, infrastructure and logistical, technical and scientific support. It gives also the possibility of integration and certification of new instruments.
Quick-look and first step processing are provided by SAFIRE.
Training is possible.
Based in Toulouse at a military airfield (Francazal).
